I think we all know the chances of the cuse "hanging" with West Virginia on Saturday are slim, however, with any luck Johnny Dingle, a "defensive end with a big engine" and Scooter Berry a "solid young prospect on the defensive line," will continue to sit next to each other and make me laugh. I don't know what cracks me up more - bathroom humor or the fact that the people involved are named Johnny Dingle and Scooter Berry - guys who play football in West Virginia. It sounds like the start of a sequel to Brokeback Mountain.
While we're here, let's get to know Dingle and Berry a little better. Dingle is rather accomplished on the field, and in this article, we learn he's "Just Havin' Fun." Earlier this year he was named Big East Player of the Week. Berry, a young player, is really becoming "an asset to the defensive line" (number 5) and recovered a fumble in last week's loss to South Florida.
What does all of this mean? Well, given the fact that the Syracuse offensive line is horrible, I would say there's a chance Dingle and Berry could end up on top of Syracuse QB Andrew Robinson this weekend - and let's be honest, no one wants that.
