Fans of the blog probably know that I’ll watch a mid-level college football game over a non-Yankees playoff game 10 times out of 10. In fact, as I write this, Rice and Southern Miss are squaring off in a Wednesday night C-USA battle from “The Rock.” (Thank you ESPN2 for midweek football). But now that the one week rendezvous with a revived ‘Cuse football ended faster than Greg Robinson can say "I don't know," its time to fry up a few nuggets (ranch sauce not included) on the baseball post season:With 13 straight postseason appearances for the Yankees, I was wondering what the month of October would be like without the Bronx Bombers going after another World Title (26 and counting). If it feels anything like November – January for the Orange football fan...well…you know.
Who is this team wearing purple and black with “Colorado” written across their chest and what are they doing in Philadelphia, I thought the MLB playoffs started today?
TBS is broadcasting the baseball playoffs this year???…Do Dale Murphy and Ken Oberkfell know this? And more importantly I hope TBS isn't pre-empting Seinfeld reruns to show lackluster games not involving the Yankees. Do the program directors really want to endure the wrath of Big Stein? I think not.
I'm totally foolish for the color and pageantry of college football, but if there is anything better in sports than this…I haven’t found it yet.
GO YANKS, F%*K the red sox!

Between Ted Robinson and Dick Stockton on TBS, it was freakin' fright night for those two games last night.
We put up screengrabs of both crypt keepers to share the horror.
Quality stuff, the sports hernia is amazing
I gotta say I didn't half mind seeing Cal give some interesting and useful baseball information during the pregame. He actually got down on the ground in his suit and showed us how Matt Holliday should have slid to truly be safe and not risk injury. Better than the majority of pregame nonsense that goes on with former players pretending to laugh at not funny jokes. Big ups to TBS Pregame so far by me.
