While UB-SU isn’t quite in that category yet, with a bit of marketing and publicity the administrations at Buffalo and Syracuse can lay the foundation for what promises to be one of college football’s preeminent rivalries over the next few years. Just imagine the classic games, the battles for recruits, the jam-packed stadiums, and for the victorious, the hoisting of the Dilapidated Brick Warehouse. Talk about spine-tingling, I can hardly wait until next season’s Thruway Throwdown…but before this can become a real rivalry, the Bulls need to show that they belong. Saturday the rivalry begins:
