More of the same...as promised

Champ

Noon-a-palooza continues this Saturday when the men of Orange return home to face the upstart USF Bulls. Let's cut to the chase: USF 31, SU 14

On a related note, Daryl Gross has apparently determined to ease the pain of this season by retiring a new number each game. This week Larry Csonka gets his #39 retired. I love you Zonk, you were unstoppable on the All-Time Dolphins in early 90's Madden. John Mackey and the greats that wore #44 certainly are well deserving. However, it really smack of desperation that we are retiring multiple jersey numbers in a year.

The 44 thing has bothered me since its retirement last year. One of our few actual football traditions was the legacy of #44. And truthfully, I'm all for having the number still be worn. I'd rather see a ring/wall of honor at the Dome for Orange legends, rather than Dr. Gross's "Retirement of the Week" strategy to putt fannies in the seats. Dr. Gross hear is a better way to increase attendace: FIX THE DAMN FOOTBALL PROGRAM.
