I just have one final thought to add to my rant yesterday on the Big East Tournament expansion and then I'm done. If all 16 teams had been in the tournament in 2006, SU would have had to win 5 games in 5 days, because they were the 9th seed that year. The new brackets require teams 9-16 to win five games in five days to win it all - and I'd like to thank Nick's Two Cents for pointing this out, and also direct you over there to find out why Jim Calhoun and Jeremy Piven may have more in common than you'd think.
I go to the Big East every year and those 4 days were some of the greatest games I've ever witnessed in person, having to play a 5th game would have been dumb. Speaking of the 2006 tournament, it gives me a great excuse to post this:

I was there in the Student Section for all of the games in 2006. Simply an amazing tournament and one that will probably never be duplicated. I feel privilaged to have been there and will someday tell my kids I was there too.
5 games will be a bit much, however I like that any team can play there way in, which is how it should be.
