Supporting Evidence

Orange Nation has had its fill of Greg Robinson and his press conference circle talk. As most of you have read by now, following Saturday's USF game, Grob offered up this quote “And we’re heading in the right direction…” It begs the question: How does a coach whose team was just obliterated 41-10 make such statements? After an in depth analysis of the last two games we are convinced that Coach R is right. Here are the numbers to prove it:

  • SU improved its 3rd down efficiency to 18% vs. USF, that’s up 4% from the Pitt game

  • The Orange special teams had a banner day, increasing the kick-off return yardage from 94 vs. Pitt, to 160 yards vs. USF – now if that isn’t the right direction, what is?

  • The SU offense reduced its yards per sack allowed in the USF game, from almost 7 vs Pitt to 4.5 vs. the Bulls

  • Talk about proficient the Orange increased their fumbles lost percentage to 100% against USF – no need to work on that this week.

Are you convinced yet? T3I certainly is…convinced that the right direction for Greg Robinson is Southbound on I-81 or Westbound on I-90.
