Welcome to Monday people. Its freezing here in Upstate NY, another miserable sports weekend is in the books and I have a lot of problems with a lot of people, so in the tradition of the greatest Holiday of them all - Festivus - let's get the the airing of grievances.
Donovan McNabb - you had the worst 20-30 for 179 yard performance I've ever seen in my life. You took too many bad sacks, you hold the ball too long, you don't trust your receivers, and now you aren't going to the playoffs. I love Don, but I've loved the Eagles a lot longer - it hasn't been a good year, and now you're fighting for your job.
Andy Reid and Marty Morhinweg - you two idiots have one of the 5 best offensive players in the NFL on your team in Brian Westbrook -yet your use of him, and play calling in general has been terrible this year. The Eagles do not have the most talent in the NFL, but they have better talent than their 5-8 record suggests and most of the issues on this team can be put squarely on the offense. It's time to go get a big time receiver and bring in an assistant coach who believes in the run - in other words, I've seen enough of Marty.
Syracuse Men's Basketball Team - you guys better grow up, and grow up fast. The team's biggest flaws right now, other than youth are defense and rebounding. Coincidentally, those two things are solved with hustle and desire. You guys aren't in high school anymore, you can't coast on one end of the floor - if you learn to work harder, things are going to be OK - if not, get your NIT tickets now, because you're 2-2 against the A-10 so far this season. One other thing, let's not blame the officials, that's the easy way out.
Jim Boeheim's Scheduling - you saw what happened last year, you lose to decent mid-majors - at home no less - and it kills you. If you win, no one bats an eyelash. Scheduling the way Syracuse does now makes no sense. You're better off playing 3 or 4 mid-level teams in major conferences, then mixing in cupcakes the rest of the out of conference schedule, because you won't get killed if you lose to the 6th best team in the Big 10 (except by us). Playing very good teams like Rhode Island and UMass is the definition of nothing to gain and everything to lose scenario.
Anthony Smith's Mouth - nice work bringing some positive press to Syracuse. I think today Mike Tomlin is showing Anthony the little seen feature film, Mr. Smith Goes to Shut Hell Up Land. Hey, we warned you last week - it might be time to start listening to idiots.
Football in 2007 - I'm an Eagles fan and I watched all 12 Syracuse games - 6 in person. For something that I wait all year for, it's been one long kick in the balls.
Ice - there's a good solid inch of it covering everything in sight today and ice sucks - you can't shovel ice my friends - and if you're in Oklahoma, it can be deadly.
On a totally unrelated note, I finally saw We Are Marshall last night and really enjoyed it. The did a very nice job with a tragic story, if you haven't seen it, check it out.

I'd like to add Moose Johnston to the list. Someone I normally like but he didn't stop to take a breath yesterday and thus, drove me insane.
And the firm stance he took on that Toomer play where he was called down by contact was even more bizarre. He was convinced it was a fumble.
Did he not see the two guys firmly on top of him while he was on the ground?
Crazy.
Good list... The Egales definitely lost the feats of strength yesterday.
If McNabb is truly afraid to throw the ball downfield, and the WRs are open... well Reid has to sit him down and find out what the problem is and make it work.
This one's on Reid here. You CAN'T go to Feeley. McNabb's the guy here. So make it work for him.
And we're 2-2 vs the A-10!! Fordham is sneaky, I know
Good call Nick - I made the change we are idiots.
