The Bullz and Jennifer Love Hewitt

Did you know the now defunct Syracuse Raging Bullz have something in common with Jennifer Love Hewitt? It's true - the are both heartbreakers. I know this because of what may be the story of the decade in the Post Standard - Lindsay Kramer reports that Bullz season ticket holder Shane Sutliff is "left with part of his heart ripped out" over the loss of his Bullz, and he will "have fond memories of looking at the tickets and thinking of the good times."

No disrespect to this guy - but what the fuck went on at those two games that would cause a person to be heartbroken over the loss of a 3rd rate minor league basketball team that no one knew existed and couldn't even pay its players????

Maybe Shane knew something we didn't - maybe they were handing out bottles of Johnny Walker Blue or free rounds of golf or lap dances - if those things were taken away from me, I might be heart broken, but the Bullz -I think that might be a little extreme. Not to mention the fact that the season tickets in question were 5 rows from the top......

I do feel bad for the guy though, because there's a better chance of Skip Bayless saying something intelligent than him getting his money back, and that's total bullshit. Plus, the area needs more people like Mr. Sutliff to support local teams, but that story was so over the top it makes Richard Simmons seem like a normal, grounded human being.

The real hero of this saga is the reporter Lindsay Kramer - that is one hell of a read. I'm just sad Kramer wasn't around when the Syracuse Express semi-pro football team closed up shop, I can only imagine the story that would have spawned.

"I feel as a season-ticket holder, I was misled."

Gold, Jerry. Gold.
