Syracuse University has a long and rich history of producing gifted communicators but apparently former Orange safety Anthony Smith isn't one of them.
Smith was a senior in G-Rob's first year, and while the team was awful, he had a great year. He parlayed that into a spot on the Pittsburgh Steelers and everything was going great, he'd moved into the starting line up, the Steelers are having a very good year then, for reasons known only to him, he decided his life wasn't quite good enough. To kick it up a notch, he decided to GUARANTEE A VICTORY against the Patriots this week.
He compounded the problem by getting Wes Welker's name wrong, which I'm sure will go over well. Look, I hate the Patriots as much as the next guy, hell I hate them more, I still haven't gotten over their win in the Super Bowl versus the Eagles a few years ago, but don't anger the evil genius in the bad sweat shirt, nothing good can come of it. As a Steeler fan, I'm sure Boss will be really pleased as well.
The only possible explanation I can come up with is that Smith is auditioning for a spot on the next version of this:
