When Greg Robinson came to Syracuse, he inherited a team that was coming off a 6-6 year and one of the strengths of that team was supposed to be a veteran offensive line. Well, 3 years, 3 offensive coordinators and 2 offensive line coaches later, we all now how that has worked out - about as as well as Mike Vick's dog business.
In today's paper, Offensive Coordinater number 3 Mitch Browning called fixing the offensive line Job One, and good for him.
So far, I really like what Browning has been selling - a keep it simple philosophy that focuses on the fundamentals and, theoretically, will allow players to play with more aggression and less thinking. While all three of the idiots have college degrees and have at some point in our lives used our brains, I can safely say we all agree that thinking is over rated. As a general rule, putting your brain in gear isn't going to help anyone.
So, while I like what's been said, talk is cheap and we've all heard these things a thousand times before - there's a lot to prove, and 12 games next year will demonstrate whether we've just heard some more empty promises.
