More venting

Question: Where is the discipline coming from for the SU basketball team? Keep looking…you won’t find any and that is one reason that has some of the laziest, heartless players I have ever seen. The simple fact is that there is no punishment for not giving maximum effort. Until Coach Boeheim starts taking away minutes and sitting people down for lackluster effort (which won’t be any time soon, since the reserves only play when there is foul trouble with the starters) then fans of the Orange will continue to see the same pattern, game after game, season after season…think back to the past couple of years, and the problems are exactly the same…Rebounding, turnovers, transition defense, getting after loose balls. Besides sending a message to the starters, playing reserves in December can build depth and team unity…and if you think Boeheim is reluctant to play the bench now…wait until February.

I don’t know about you all, but I’m all Devo’ed out --- the kid has no conscious, which is a problem when you don’t have the game to match. I need to see Devendorf’s patented reach around from behind and pick up a stupid foul defensive method one more time, because twice a game just isn’t enough.

Since the game was not shown live in DC, I logged onto to SU all-access, surprisingly good picture quality, however Matt Park and Gene Waldron…ummm…those two had me yearning for Dave Sims and John Congemi.
