If you can't get pumped up for tonight's Syracuse-UConn game you are:
- a communist;
- dead;
- or worse yet a Georgetown fan.
If you don't care about tonight's game you have two options, read Champ's Husky Manifesto to get yourself in the right frame of mind - or go read about Duke-North Carolina. You won't believe this, but Dick Vitale actually has something to say about that one, shocking, I know.
The game tonight is without a doubt the biggest of the year for the Orange. UConn is streaking, having won 5 in a row and Syracuse is riding a 3 game win streak of their own. What this game will really tell Syracuse fans is whether the latest incarnation of Orange -Version 4.0 Revenge of Kristof - has truly found their sea legs.
It's been a season of upheaval and turmoil - with ACLs snapping like Slim Jims, player defections, and suspensions, but through it all this team has preserved and now finds itself playing some very good basketball and vying for a spot in the NCAA tournament. A win over a top 25 team will bolster the resume and the confidence of team lead by freshman. A few keys to tonight's game:
CONFIDENCE - Can Kristof! the Belgian Waffle keep up his inspired play AND force UConn to at least be aware of where he is on the court? Can Scoop Jardine shake up his personal troubles, play with confidence and give them some inspired minutes off the bench?
FOUL TROUBLE - Syracuse plays 7 guys - two of which (Jardine and the Waffle) who would be buried on the pine if not for injuries. Foul trouble will ALWAYS be an issue. We are officially putting out an APB on Tim Higgins, anyone who sees him anywhere near the Dome tonight needs to detain him and contact T3I - a handsome reward* awaits you.
TURNOVERS - They have been a problem all year long - the need to protect the ball against UConn's pressure man to man is vital.
REBOUNDING - Arinze will have his hands full with 7'3" Hasheem Thabeet - everyone needs to make sure they hit the glass tonight - that means you Mr. Greene.
PAUL HARRIS - The path to the basket will be a little more crowded tonight than it was against Nova, if Paul "Chuck Norris" Harris can still be effective on both ends in the land of the trees, good things will happen for the Orange. If he spends the night eating Spaulding sandwiches, Syracuse will struggle to score, because the only other options will be a ton of 3s from Flynn and Greene.

* T3I do not condone illegal activities such as kidnapping officials, if you chose to do so, you do that of your own free will . The "reward" will be not having to watch Tim Higgins make himself the center of attention for the whole game. However, once you get out a jail, we'll buy you a ton of beers for being such a good person, not for any illegal activities you may or may not have participated in.
