That's right, I still haven't found a consistent name I like for daily links we post - if you have any suggestions, please feel free to leave them below. Or call me a moron - people haven't been too belligerent lately, must be the better weather.
With that digression over with, Joba pitched a grand total of 2 and third innings last night. I'm just an idiot and not a baseball genius, but wouldn't it have made more sense to send him down to Triple A for a few weeks and let him make the conversion there? Because between screwing up the bullpen so he can throw a certain number of pitches on certain days, and then starting him but limiting him a 65 pitches, it hasn't exactly been working out well. Joel Sherman makes a good point - these games count. Speaking of the Yankees - it would be nice to see a little emotion out of these guys. You know you have issues when the most emotional guy associated with the team is the owner's half crazy son.
Speaking of half crazy, Pedro won in his return - although we can't confirm speculation that he's trying to get Willie fired and replace him with a midget of his choosing.
As you might have been able to deduce by now, I personally am a huge fan of the Big Lead - it's just top notch stuff over there. Between their interviews with sports writers, the links and their content in general, you can't go wrong. Today they've got two great items - Bob Ryan attacking the Sports Guy in print, and an interview with Chris Cooley. As an Eagle fan, I hate the Redskins and all their players, but Chris Cooley just seems like a great dude - if you don't know what I'm talking about, just check out his wife.
In Syracuse news, West Virginia By God has a wish list for 2008 and coming in at number 27 is "Beating Syracuse…..for the 7th straight year, all the while wondering how Greg Robinson STILL has a job. " We wonder the same thing. Over at the Orange Squeeze, AEM has some reaction to the Mike Williams situation, while over at Fan House, SU fans are categorized as again being on suicide watch. Congrats to TNIAAM for articulating such suicidal tendencies - well done. The Sport Hump asks the really important question, does Tim Lane have any eligibility left?
To cheer up the men reading this blog, here's Erin Andrews on the Blog Show and for the love of God, whatever you do, DO NOT mess with Packers running back Noah Herron.
