Lunch Links

Here are a few things to get you through the afternoon and make the time go by as you wait for Joba's first start (not that it matters, Farnsworth will just blow it for him anyway). Fear not Met fans, Pedro is back on the mound too, and since I throw harder the Barry Zito right now, I like the Mets chances in this one.

Fans of the Red Sux will have to find a way to live without Big Papi for a month, and since his wrist will be immobilized for all that time (insert your own masturbation joke here).

Bill Stewart, the new coach of West Virginia, he's got some disciplinary issues left to deal with, although we'd take the Mountaineers third string over anyone on the SU roster right now.

Flip Saunders is now unemployed. Flip is one of those coaches just good enough to win you a lot of meaningless games and just bad enough to never win you a title. He's basically Rick Adelman with more hair - in other words, he'll have a new job in a week.

Could DeShaun Jackson be Donovan McNabb's savior in Philly? While I've watched almost every Eagle game for the last 20 years I certainly hope so, but I'm not holding my breath. Meanwhile Pac-man Jones is back and TO signs a long term deal in Dallas - as an Eagle fan, here's hoping that combination is as toxic as it looks on paper.

And if you're still recovering from 119 minutes of hockey and want to switch your focus to what the NBA finals are missing, the Sports Hernia has your answers.
