Tuesday Morning Reading

It's only Tuesday, but it's as short week people. Here are a few links to check out while you contemplate how many hot dogs you'll eat on Friday to celebrate America's independence.

In what can only be described as great news for SU basketball fans, Andy Rautins first game with team Canada went exceedingly well.

According to Rivals one of T3I favorites - the big man Mark Mangino, got a contract extension. Not surprisingly it mentions SU coach Greg Robinson as being on the hot seat and even speculates that Kevin Gilbride could be a possible replacement (now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to shove my head in a blender).

Over at CBS Sportsline, Dennis Dodd is doing a series on the best coaches in college football, he thinks Norm Chow is pretty darn good.

In hindsight is 20/20 news, the Indiana University president says Kelvin Sampson should have never been hired. Let this be a lesson to all college administrators out there, never hire a guy that only wears blue shirts - and avoid cheaters too.

In baseball news, the Yankees can't score any runs, whereas the Mets can't field the ball, making 3 errors in a loss to the Cardinals.

In binge drinking news, Jay Bilas was a buzz kill on NBA draft night.

And in news that will make Roger Goodell's head explode, the Patriots Willie Andrews is a scumbag of the highest order.

He doesn't look superhero-ish like Paul Harris, but wow, Rautins has definitely added some muscle. And damn this article for getting me excited about Syracuse basketball way too early.

Though I suppose it doesn't take much.
