All the Philadelphia Eagles fans in the room please stand. OK, now that I'm standing alone, it's time for some bad news. Kevin Curtis, the birds best wide receiver has a sports hernia, and not the good kind either.
The official diagnosis from the always chatty Andy Reid is that Curtis will be out "for awhile." With that all cleared up, there's not much doubt the Eagles have some serious issues at a position that's been a problem for the better part of the last decade.
Right now Reggie Brown is also on the shelf, suffering from a bad hamstring. Reid said he doesn't anticipate bringing another receiver in right now -- and there's not much out there other than a washed up Joe Horn anyway -- so with the season rapidly closing in, McNabb is once again left throwing to a bunch of guys that wouldn't start on other teams......great, there's nothing better than that Groundhog Day feeling.
That makes 3 Eagle players afflicted with the dreaded condition in the last 4 years - so if you find yourself in Philly any time soon, watch yourself.
