It started out harmless enough. During a Syracuse basketball chat, the conversation turned to one of those typical bar debates....what was the best "old school" paint scheme in NASCAR?What does this blog know about racing? Not much as we don't follow the sport today. However, all three idiots fondly remember watching the "good old days" of NASCAR during our youth. We're talking Winston Cup racing, Ken Squire, The Nashville Network, Busch Clash, lots of mustaches, TBS, and beer/tobacco related sponsors. Ah yes, the good old days.
So in the tradition of our past Orange hoops and football countdowns, we've assembled a crack team here at T3I that have thoroughly researched this topic. Your distinguished panel includes all three idiots (Russianator, Boss, Champ), our good buddy and Sporthumper Poncho Sinatra, and honorary idiot/frequent poster The Captain. Each was asked to look back at the HumpIdiot Era of NASCAR (beginning in the late '70s) and determine their Top 10.
With The Great American Race eight days away, we'll start counting them down, HumpIdiot style.
