Syracuse Students Dress Like Empty Seats

I happened to be the guy who took this photo Saturday, which stirred up some debate on twitter about the dedication, or lack there of, the Syracuse students display in regards to their football team.

Axe touched on it at the end of his game recap and Sean just busted off a must read post on the issue. To augment it, I thought I'd add one other shot I took - which shows a lot of students dressed like empty seats. The photo was taken at the same time as the one in my earlier post, at about the 11:00 minute mark of the first quarter, so the game was fully underway.

Hey, my dad, my brother and I are 3 of those orange dots there in the 200s above the WVa section behind the goal posts. That's us behind the roughly 5 empty rows. Those 5 rows have been empty every game except the first one, and I suspect the kids sitting there that game didn't have those actual tickets.

Nice. I usually sit in 319, but through the generosity of a friend, I was right about the student section on sat. All 12 of them. 319 is pretty empty for being great seats though. Another side effect of the Greg Robinson era.

Rush, props to you for making that drive every Saturday down the thruway. I gave up this week and watched the game at home in Saratoga knowing I would of ran someone over heading East bound after the game.

Plus-The Program was on TBS at 4pm

Hey neph: I didn't know that you were at the game. I was in 319. It was painful to watch. We were never in that game after that 1st interception. We need the bye week and bad. take it easy. Uncle Dave
