A former favorite of the Idiots is '80s slugger Jack Clark. We loved guys who either hit the ball 475 feet or completely wiffed. Jack parlayed some big seasons ('85 and '87) with the Cardinals into a fat contract with the Yankees in '88.
For those of you too young to remember, let's just say the Jack Clark Yankee era wasn't exactly memorable. After one season in the Bronx, Jack was sent to San Diego for such household names as Stan Jefferson, Jimmy Jones, and Lance McCullers.
Where am I headed with this? I really don't know. But for $499, you can own Jack Clark's Texas League Championship Ring.

Loved Jack Clark. I specifically ate only Clark Bars during his 2 year MLB terror back in the mid 80's.
You had to bring up those late 80's Yankee years. What's Mel Hall doing these days?
Port Byron's own Mel Hall! I believe he's doing 25 to life - seriously
Hey, Mel Hall played little league in my hometown! I have no idea what happened to him.
I wasn't kidding - I just looked it up, Mel is actually doing 45 to life for raping a 12 year old girl. Personally I think for a crime like that he should be executed.

Holy Shit balls! Those Jheri Curls didn't do him any favors. A 12 year old girl? WTF, hang him.
All the Soul Glow must have gotten to his head.
I always hated anyone that would even look at 1B during the late 80's early 90's. Clark, Maas, Blowers
oh god. i had no idea.
I just remember my dad calling him 'sore nuts'. He always seemed to be injured, especially during his NY stint. My uncle was waiting for that to show up near his name on an injury list and that's what my pop kept calling him. He was an all or nothing hitter, but I think he'd like the confines of the new Yankee Stadium.
