This Week in Unfortunate Web Advertising

This morning I fired up the NY Post web site to see what is going on in the world -- and see some outrageous Sunday headlines -- and was met with the top story of Clubbed to Death. The story focuses on a pretty young girl who died after being out illegally at a club in the meat packing district.

The story itself, while obviously tragic, is fine, what isn't so fine is the pop up ad readers are greeted with when logging on. Check it out for yourself.

Ah the unfortunate side effects of not checking with the on-line ad guys before running with the headline......

The ease of getting snapshots of a webpage with windows 7 has to be a web editors only proves they can't catch everything.
